Vote Trevor Walter for Montana House District 69

I’m not a politician — I’m a problem solver… and I’m not running to play politics. I’m running to protect what’s good about Montana: our freedoms, our faith, our close-knit communities, and our simple way of life.

Keep Montana. Montana.

Montanans Deserve a Voice—Not Just a Vote

It’s time Helena starts listening to the people who make this state work!

At a time when politics feels more like theater than truth, you’ll find I’m a different kind of candidate. I’m not a party puppet. I’m a Montana native who’s spent my life working, raising a family, and serving my community.

I’m the President of Montana’s oldest industrial marketing firm and I come from a 135-year family tradition of small-town business, Montana’s oldest family owned grocery store. I know what it means to build something that lasts.

My campaign is about faith, freedom, accountability, and above all… Transparency. I’m tired of the spin! I’m tired of the corruption! I’m tired of our elected officials voting opposite of our choices.

I’m ready to fight for those who get up early, work late, and still believe in right and wrong!

If your tired of the spin, you're not alone. I am too!

We all hear it every election cycle — “We’re going to lower your taxes. Fix healthcare. Improve education. Make housing affordable.” But year after year, the promises fade, and Montanans are left holding the bag.

  • Property taxes keep climbing.
  • Homeownership feels out of reach.
  • Schools are asked to do more with less.

And families still face impossible choices between medical bills and groceries.

I’m Trevor Walter, a fourth-generation Montanan, small business owner, and candidate for House District 69. I’m not running to recycle empty campaign slogans — I’m running to fix what’s broken.

Some of the issues that are important to me

Focused on fixing what’s broken—from taxes and education to healthcare and infrastructure.

  • End the political shell games with property taxes.

I’ll fight for honest reform that puts Montana homeowners first — not a property tax shift that puts the burden on businesses and the agricultural community... which ultimately leads to higher prices on the store shelves.

  • Promote housing you can actually afford.

I’ll work to remove unnecessary barriers and empower communities to create affordable housing opportunities for all — from young families just starting out to the essential workers who keep our cities and towns running. All while adopting common-sense legislation that prevents out-of-control development.

  • Support our schools and teachers.

We can’t prepare the next generation for success with outdated materials, crumbling classrooms, and underpaid teachers. Our kids deserve better — and that starts with putting their education first. I strongly support public schools, and I believe in investing in them so every child has the tools to thrive.

But supporting public education also means listening to parents. That includes giving families a real voice — and real choices — in how and where their children are educated.

  • Fix healthcare, not just fund bureaucracy.

That means mental health access, cost transparency, and real competition that benefits patients — not just insurance companies. It also means building on the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model that Governor Gianforte has championed — where Montanans pay their doctors directly through affordable, membership-based care.

DPC removes the red tape and brings back the doctor-patient relationship. But we can go further.

I'll work to expand DPC access statewide and create tax incentives for businesses, civic groups, and churches to help sponsor care for low-income individuals — especially those who fall through the cracks of government-run programs. We'll also explore private co-op models and catastrophic care funds to help cover what DPC doesn't — like surgeries or emergencies — without turning to taxpayer-funded welfare.

It's time to treat healthcare like a community investment, not a bureaucratic maze. Let’s empower Montanans to take control of their care — and give them real, local options to do it.

  • Stand With Montana’s Farmers & Ranchers.

Montana’s farmers and ranchers represent more than just our state’s largest industry—they represent our values: hard work, self-reliance, and stewardship of the land. For generations, they’ve fed our families, fueled our economy, and kept our communities rooted in something real.

But today, they’re being squeezed from all sides. From drought and water shortages to rising input costs, labor challenges, and shrinking market access, our producers face mounting pressure. Global competitors benefit from better infrastructure and less red tape, while here at home, outdated policies and overregulation make it harder for Montana ag to thrive.

It’s time we put Montana producers first—by cutting unnecessary red tape, defending private property rights, expanding access to water and soil conservation tools, and pushing back against policies that favor foreign imports or corporate consolidation. We must protect our ag land from out-of-state interests and ensure the next generation has a future in farming and ranching.

Agriculture is the backbone of our economy, a pillar of our food security, and the lifeblood of rural Montana. When ag thrives, Montana thrives.

  • Modern infrastructure for a stronger Montana.

From crumbling roads and aging bridges to outdated water systems and spotty broadband, Montana’s infrastructure is long overdue for serious attention. I’ll fight for smart investments that prioritize local needs — repairing our highways, expanding broadband access in rural areas, upgrading water and wastewater systems, and maintaining the bridges and dams our communities rely on every day.

If you’re ready for common-sense, Montana-first solutions — not partisan grandstanding — I’m ready to fight for you!
